Of the 184 individual pre-K medallion holders who hold the remaining 256 pre-K medallions:
- 68 people, representing 102 medallions, were eligible to participate in the last round of sales and elected not to when they had an opportunity in April-May 2010, or they participated in the Pilot Program but declined to sell their medallion when an offer was made. These people will be age 71 or older on December 31, 2011. Of these:
- 13 medallions are in the hands of 2 people over 90 years old;
- 50 medallions are in the hands of people over 80 years old; and
- 39 medallions are in the hands of individuals over 70 years old.
- 56 people, representing 72 medallions, would not be eligible to participate even if the next round of sales were open to pre-K medallion holders because they are not yet 65 years of age. Of these:
- 43 pre-K medallions are in the hands of 36 individuals aged 60-64 years old; and
- 29 pre-K medallions are in the hands of 20 people who are younger than 60.
- 60 people aged 65-70 and who represent 68 medallions, would get their first opportunity to participate on the basis of age IF the next round of sales were open to pre-K medallion holders.

- How many pre-K medallion holders sold medallions in the first round of the Pilot Program?
In the last round of the Taxi Medallions Sales Pilot Program, out of 56 pre-K medallions that were included in the list of medallions for sale, only 30 were ultimately sold, meaning that the owners of 26 pre-K medallions who had opted into the sales program declined to sell when they had the opportunity, or in a few cases, were not actually qualified by age or disability to sell.
- How many medallion holders are between ages 60-70? Between ages 65-70?
Age 65-70: 197 total, less 60 pre-K = 137 post-K medallion holders age 65-70
Age 60-70: 470 total, less 103 pre-K = 367 post-K medallion holders age 60-70
1 person has 11 medallions!!!
